INT 95 Intro

Hey Everyone! My name’s Samantha Ixquiack, pronounced Esh-Key-Ack. If case you’re wondering, because most people do, I’m Guatemalan and Mayan Indian, which I guess explains my last name. I am currently, undeclared. However, I plan on declaring Biology as my major. Although, most people tell me that Biology is one of the harder majors, and yea I am intimidated,  I still want to challenge my self and succeed as a Bio major. I am passionate about Bio even though it can be difficult at times. My plan so far, is to graduate from UCSB as a Bio major then to go to graduate school for my Masters/ Certificate as a Physician’s Assistant. I hope to one day practice in India. Why India? Because I fond their culture to be so interesting and I want to make a difference in India, even if it’s a small one. My heart is just in India. I know cheesy but that’s just me. These are my plans and dreams, but we’ll see where life takes me within these next couple of years. At UCSB I obviously hope to learn about the human body, the way it works, and even maybe a little psychology. However, I ultimately hope to learn about myself. Not only do I want to grow as a student, but also as a person. I also am curious about the ways of others because UCSB has a little diversity. If you have any questions, comments, or just want to talk write me!(:

  1. Sammy,
Heyya, I think it's so awesome that you know what you want to do. I wish I was like that. When you mentioned India, do you plan on studying abroad with UCSB? Because I think that would be such a cool opportunity! I'm happy I got to know you more from this first posting! Good luck with classes and such.
